Pools can provide many hours of pleasure and can also enhance the value of properties. Unfortunately, a poorly constructed pool can cause nightmares for the owner and result in huge maintanance bills.

Additionally, many owners erroneously feel that the coating installed after construction will solve problems introduced by faulty construction. 

While properly installed coatings can assist in water retention, they are not a lasting solution for poor construction. It is always advisable when constructing pools and water retaining structures to either:

• cast with a kicker to eliminate the cold joint.
• or, if it has been cast monolithically.
